Share Word Lists

Learn how Wöör makes it easy to share vocabulary lists with others

Wöör makes it easy to share vocabulary lists with others — whether you’re a teacher preparing materials for class, a tutor working with individual students, or simply learning alongside a friend. Sharing is quick, and the experience is seamless for the person receiving the list.

How sharing works

You can share any of your word lists with one click. When you share a list:

  • Wöör creates a unique link
  • Anyone who opens the link on a device with Wöör installed can copy the list into their own account
  • Once copied, the list becomes their own — they can edit it, remove words, or add new ones

Important to know

  • Shared lists are not synced — the other person’s copy won’t reflect any future changes you make
  • Users can’t edit your original list
  • The link must be opened on a device where the Wöör app is installed
  • Lists can be shared by anyone — not just teachers

This approach keeps things simple and avoids confusion about ownership or updates.

How this compares to other apps

  • Wöör: Sharing creates a copy-only link; no login or account syncing needed.
  • Anki: Decks can be shared, but require export/import and often need instructions to install.
  • Quizlet: Lists can be shared with a link and updated, but require accounts for editing or tracking.
  • Vocabulary: Doesn’t support user-made lists or sharing functionality.
  • WordUp: Does not offer custom word list sharing; users cannot create or distribute their own vocabulary sets.
