How to Collect Words in Wöör. Wöör is a vocabulary app that helps you save, review, and remember English words better — especially if you're a learner or teacher working with new vocabulary every day.
One of the first things you'll want to do is collect words. This means saving any new word you come across so you can review it later using spaced repetition.
What does "collecting words" mean in Wöör?
In Wöör, collecting a word means adding it to your personal vocabulary list. For every word you learn its specific meaning. E.g. for ring it can be “circular object”, “sound of a bell”, or a “telephone call”. Adding a word you can:
- keep the most commonly used meaning
- select another meaning
- add your own custom meaning
Everything you collect automatically gets exercising program created — no setup needed.

How to collect words (step-by-step)
- Open Wöör
- Click + Add Word
- Type the word you want to add. As you type, Wöör gives suggestions that match your input, you can select one of them.
- Select “See all meanings” to choose another or add your own meaning (optional)
- Click Add to list
- Select or create a new list
The word is now stored in your vocabulary list and will show up in exercising sessions automatically.

you can also open a List and add words from within it. This way you will not need to select a list every time you add a word.
We recommend to add to one list 50 or less words. This would help focus you focus and learn meaningful amount of words together. If you add more words in one list your revision cycles may become too long.
